The Great Outdoors...

...is exactly what we have been missing!

I don't know if you guys feel it too, but I can definitely feel hints of fall in the air. *doing my happy dance*

My absolute favorite time of year for so many reasons, the cooler weather being one of them, and now that we are in our new home, we have been able to enjoy the fresh air in our awesome backyard. Speaking of our backyard, let me share with you a little back (yard) story to show why I am so excited about it.

Our apartment was not in what one might call "the nice part of town." My car had been acting crazy lately, so I hadn't really felt comfortable taking Daisy anywhere in it. So we were stuck in our apartment day after day. One day I decided we needed to get out and get some air. I thought a little stroll around the tennis courts would do just fine. Usually the tennis courts were swarmed by teenagers, but luckily school was in session, so we had the whole place to ourselves. After a couple of laps around in the fresh air, a man started whistling and yelling at me from his balcony

And that was the last time we went out.

When Johnathan would come home at night I would constantly want to get out of the apartment and because he had been at work all day, of course he would want to stay in. It was a hard time for us all. :(

I'm not going to lie, since moving into our new home, it has been kind of hard to break the habit of not getting out. I've become somewhat of a hermit, not intentionally of course, but I honestly just don't think about it. One of the first days in our new house, Johnathan came home from work and asked, "Did you take Daisy outside today?" The thought never even entered my mind to take her out! I know, crazy huh? Since we have been here, I have had to remind myself to go outside and enjoy it with Daisy. She LOVES it!

One way that I'm reminded to take her out.

She loves being in the grass. This was from one of our first trips to the backyard, before the mosquitos attacked. Enjoy!

We are really enjoying the new place! I'll start posting from the inside soon. :)

  1. She is so sweet and pretty! I can't wait to come visit the new homestead in the not too distant future and see all three of you!
